The Choice is Made: Inside the ATURTO Flyweight Grand Prix Roulette
There’s a specific kind of quiet that happens when eight guys realize their entire year is about to change in a few seconds.
We just wrapped up filming the selection ceremony for the ATURTO Flyweight Grand Prix, and honestly, the energy in the room was heavier than any weigh-in I’ve seen.
You know we don’t do things the “easy” way. Instead of our matchmakers sitting in an office deciding who fights who, we put the power directly in the hands of the fighters. We set up a giant bracket board, put 1 through 8 in a draw, and let them walk up and pick their own destiny.
Why do it this way?
Matchmaking is usually a secret. But when you’re trying to find the best flyweight in India, you want to see who’s got the backbone to pick the hardest path.
Watching a guy walk up to that board and choose exactly who he wants to face—or seeing the look on someone’s face when they realize they’ve been called out by a rival—is pure drama. You see the ego, the strategy, and occasionally, a bit of genuine hesitation. You can’t script that.
The Video is Coming
We aren’t naming the eight fighters just yet. We want you to see the reveal the right way.
The footage is in the editing room right now. We’re making sure you catch every stare-down, every smirk, and the exact moment the bracket was locked in. Some of the matchups that came out of this draw are absolute fireworks, and a few of them were complete surprises to everyone on the team.
We’ll be dropping the full video on our socials and right here on the site in a few days.
Get ready. The road to the Flyweight title just got a lot more interesting.
